Registration is open now for my first-ever online class, Less Is More: Writing Micro! The four-week class will be limited to ten participants – fiction and nonfiction – in order to guarantee an experience that is both fun and productive.
Here’s how it will go down: During the first two weeks of class, you’ll generate micros (fewer than 300 words) in response to each of six prompts. Each prompt will be preceded by a brief published piece as well as a short discussion of the aspects of craft — characterization, setting, point of view, structure, and beginnings – that are key to an effective piece of prose.
During weeks three and four, you’ll revise and share two of your prompts in an informal workshop setting that (I promise!) will be both constructive and helpful.
Class will officially start on Monday, September 16 and conclude on Monday, October 14. Cost is $110.
To reserve your spot, please e-mail me at email@example.com with “Online Workshop” in your subject line and I’ll respond with your official course confirmation as well as information on how to pay.* I’m also happy to answer any and all questions you may have.
Thanks in advance. Look forward to working with you in September!
*Please note that no refunds will be provided after September 10.
